Privacy Policy
We protect the confidentiality of your information
Islamic Resource Development (IRD) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Al Hadith website or app. Please read it carefully.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. By your continued use of the Web Site after the date of the posting of such revised Privacy Policy, you will be deemed to have become aware of, and accept any revised Privacy Policy.
Collection of Your Information
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect through the Web Site depends on the content and materials you use, and which includes:
Personal Data
If you sign in with Google, we may receive your name, email address, profile photo, and account identifier through Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication. We use this information to verify your identity, show your profile, and sync your data across devices. If you send feedback or report a problem, your text, the report type and context may be sent along with your name and email address if you are signed in, your device model, app version, and notification permission status. We use this information to contact you about your report when needed.
Advertising Measurement and Tracking
In release versions of the iOS app, if you grant Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, the Meta SDK may use some app activity and your device's advertising identifier. This measures which ads led to app installs and use. If you do not grant permission, the app's current setup does not activate this Meta advertising measurement. You can change tracking permission later in your iPhone or iPad settings.
Mobile device access
We may access or request permission to access certain features from your mobile device, especially your mobile device's Internet, network access state, external storage permission, permission to write to storage, external storage permission, vibrate and permission to clear app cache. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you can do so in your device's settings.
Push Notification
We may request that you send push notifications about your account or application. If you wish to opt-out of receiving such communications, you can turn them off in your device's settings.
Use of your information
Having accurate information about you allows us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. In particular, we may use the information we collect about you through the application:
- Your device storage is used to save your bookmarks, recent reading, and settings.
- Sign-in information is used to verify your identity, show your profile, and sync your data across devices.
- Feedback and problem report information is used to contact you when needed.
- App usage and crash data may be used to operate the service and troubleshoot issues.
- Your mobile network status is used to check whether the required data can be downloaded.
Disclosure of Your Information
To operate the app, Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication may process sign-in information; Firebase Cloud Firestore may process synced data; Google Analytics for Firebase may process usage data; Firebase Crashlytics may process crash and diagnostic data; and Firebase Cloud Messaging may process push notification data. Online searches, AI searches, and reports you submit are sent to our related servers. On iOS, if you allow tracking, Meta may receive app events and your advertising identifier to measure advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service, or in response to a valid request. These service providers may also have their own privacy policies.
Data Retention and Security
Data stored on your device may be deleted if you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Cloud-synced data, submitted reports, and logs created to operate the service may be stored separately. We retain information while needed and as required for applicable law, security, troubleshooting, or backups. Retention periods may differ among service providers. Google, Firebase, Meta, or other service providers may process your information outside your country. We take reasonable security measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized use or disclosure, but cannot guarantee complete security for data transmitted over the internet.
