Ash-Shama'il Al-MuhammadiyahHadith Number 73
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ: أَهْدَى دِحْيَةُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خُفَّيْنِ، فَلَبِسَهُمَا وَقَالَ إِسْرَائِيلُ: عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، وَجُبَّةً فَلَبِسَهُمَا حَتَّى تَخَرَّقَا لا يَدْرِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، أَذِكًى هُمَا أَمْ لا. قال أبو عيسى: وأبو إسحاق هذا هو أبو إسحاق الشيباني واسمه سليمان.
Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah Narrated from:
Dihya [a notable Companion of his] gave the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) a pair of plain black shoes, so he wore them,"— and Isra’il said, on the authority of Jabir, on the authority of 'Amir: "[He also gave him] a gown, so he wore the shoes until they were perforated, without the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) knowing whether or not they were made from the hide of a lawfully slaughtered animal.”
