Prophetic Hadiths on Beautiful Quran Recitation and Learning
These prophetic narrations highlight the deep dedication of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions to the recitation and memorization of the Holy Quran. According to Islamic scholars, early companions like Abdullah bin Mas'ud cherished specific early chapters like Al-Kahf and Maryam as precious personal treasures, while Al-Bara' actively learned surahs like Surat al-A'la even before the Prophet arrived in Medina. The Prophet himself established structured habits, frequently reciting specific pairs of twenty short surahs together during his prayers. Furthermore, during the holy month of Ramadan, the Prophet engaged in systematic reviews, repeating the full text with the angel Gabriel every single year, and doubling this recitation to twice during the final year of his life. These accounts show a clear, organized community focus on learning, organizing, and beautifully maintaining the verses.
