Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 1283
This Hadith is about family mercy and the harm of separating a mother from her child. Abu Ayyub says he heard the Messenger of Allah say that whoever separates a mother from her child, Allah separates him from his beloved on the Day of Judgment. The wording is direct and serious. It focuses on the pain caused by breaking a close family bond. The text does not add a long story or extra conditions, so the explanation should stay with that clear message. In sale, captivity, or any setting where a person has power over others, this Hadith teaches care, restraint, and fear of causing deep family hurt.
What we learn from this hadith
- A mother-child bond should not be broken by those who have power over others.
