"Hayyah bin Habis At-Tamimi narrated: My Father Narrated That He Heard The Messenger Of Allah (S.A.W) Saying: "There Is Nothing To Al-Ham, And The Eye Is Real."
[1] It also comes in the Ahādīth as Hammah , and there are a number of explanations about what kind of superstition it was, these included a worm that comes out of the head of a murdered person until he is avenged; an owl that they thought was an omen if it stayed near the house; and a bird that came from the bones of the dead.
