Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 216
This Hadith teaches the reward of praying in congregation. Abu Hurairah narrates that Allah's Messenger said a man's salah in the congregation is increased by twenty-five rewards over his salah alone. The wording is short and focused. It compares two forms of prayer: praying alone and praying with the group. Both are prayers, but the congregational prayer is described as having extra reward. The Hadith helps a Muslim understand why jama'ah matters. It is not only a social gathering. It is an act of worship with added merit, and the believer should try to join it when able. The report makes the extra value easy to understand by naming the increase clearly.
