Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 2614
This hadith about the branches of faith shows that Iman has many forms. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said faith has seventy-some odd doors. The lowest is removing something harmful from the road, and the highest is saying La Ilaha Illallah. This teaches that faith includes belief, words, and helpful actions. A small act like clearing harm from a path is not treated as meaningless. It is placed within faith. At the same time, the highest door is the statement of Tawhid. The hadith helps a person see Islam as both worship of Allah and care for people’s safety in daily life.
What we learn from this hadith
- Faith has many doors and forms.
- La Ilaha Illallah is named as the highest door of faith.
- Removing harm from the road is counted within faith.
