Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 287
This Hadith about sitting before standing in Salah comes from Malik bin Al-Huwairith. He saw Allah's Messenger praying, and when the Prophet was in an odd number of his prayer, he would not get up until he had sat completely. The wording points to a careful movement in prayer. It is not about rushing from one position to another. It shows a pause in which the Prophet sat fully before rising. The report is useful for people searching for the sitting of rest in Salah, though the text itself simply describes what Malik saw. The main lesson is to notice the Prophet's calm movement and learn prayer from observation.
What we learn from this hadith
- The Prophet's prayer movements were observed and shared by the Companions.
- Standing up in Salah should not be rushed when this sitting is practiced.
- A complete sitting before rising is reported in this narration.
