48/70. Chapter:

The Supplication: “O Allah, I Seek Refuge In You From Sadness And Grief”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَدْعُو يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَفِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

Anas narrated that : The Prophet (ﷺ) Used To Supplicate, Saying: “O Allah, Indeed, I Seek Refuge In You From Laziness, Weakness Of Old Age, Cowardice, Stinginess, The Trial Of Al-Masih, And The Punishment Of The Grave (Allāhumma Innī A`Ūdhu Bika Minal-Kasali Wal-Harami Wal-Jubni Wal-Bukhli Wa Fitnatil-MasīḥI Wa `Adhabil-Qabr).”
