Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 3727
This hadith about Ali mentions a specific statement of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم: “O Ali, it is not permissible for anyone to be junub in this masjid except for you and I.” The provided Arabic text also includes a question about the meaning, where it is explained as passing through it while in a state of janabah. Because the report deals with a sensitive masjid ruling, the safest explanation is to stay close to the words. It is not a broad discussion of all mosque rules. It is a narration about a special allowance mentioned for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and Ali in that masjid. The core topic is Ali’s special access connected with the masjid.
What we learn from this hadith
- The narration mentions a special masjid-related allowance for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and Ali.
- The Arabic note explains the meaning as passing through while junub.
- The report should not be turned into a full set of mosque rulings beyond the text.
- It shows a distinct honor mentioned for Ali in this narration.
