Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 6
This narration gives the clear wording of the toilet dua: O Allah, indeed I seek refuge in You from Al-Khubth and Al-Khabaith. Anas bin Malik reports this as something the Prophet would say when entering the toilet. The hadith is short, but its meaning is practical. It teaches that a Muslim begins even private needs with dependence on Allah. The phrase seek refuge shows humility and need. The person is not relying only on habit, place, or personal care. He turns to Allah first. This hadith is often searched as the dua before bathroom or dua entering toilet, because it gives the exact prophetic wording for that moment.
What we learn from this hadith
- The Prophet used a specific dua before entering the toilet.
- A Muslim seeks Allah's refuge in private matters too.
- The wording is short and easy to remember.
- The hadith teaches daily manners through a simple supplication.
