Umm Bujaid Narrated from:
Abdur-Rahman bin Bujaid narrated from his grandmother; : Umm Bujaid - And She Was One Of Those Who Gave The Pledge To The Prophet - She Said To The Messenger Of Allah: "There Is A Needy Person Who Stands Outside My Door, But I Cannot Find Anything To Give To Him." So The Messenger Of Allah Said To Her: "If You Do Not Find Anything To Give Him Except A Burnt Trotter Then Hand It Over To Him."

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 665
This Hadith shows how Islam teaches care for the needy, even when a person has very little to give. Umm Bujaid told the Messenger of Allah that a needy person would stand at her door, but she could not find anything to give. The Prophet told her that if she could find nothing except a burnt trotter, she should hand it to him. The message is simple and practical: do not belittle small charity. A small gift may still show care, respect, and concern. The Hadith is not asking people to give what is harmful or useless; it is teaching that even a humble item can be worth giving when nothing else is available.
What we learn from this hadith
- Do not look down on small acts of charity.
- The needy should be treated with care and not ignored.
- Giving what is available is better than withholding out of shame.
- Charity can be simple and still meaningful.
