Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 870
This report is about recommended recitation in the two Rak'ah of Tawaf. Ja'far bin Muhammad narrated from his father that he considered it recommended to recite “Say: O you disbelievers” and “Say: He is Allah, the One” in those two Rak'ah. The provided text also includes a note from Abu Isa saying this report is more correct than the narration through Abdul Aziz bin Imran, and that Abdul Aziz bin Imran was weak in Hadith. So this entry is both about worship practice and hadith accuracy. The main point is simple: the report supports these two Surahs as recommended recitation in the prayer after Tawaf, while also showing care in judging the strength of narrations.
What we learn from this hadith
- The report mentions recommended recitation in the two Rak'ah of Tawaf.
- It names Surah Al-Kafirun and Surah Al-Ikhlas.
- The text includes a note comparing the strength of narrations.
