Summary of Sunan Abi Dawud Hadith 167
This Hadith is another short report on sprinkling water after urination. A man from Thaqif narrates from his father that he saw the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم urinate, then sprinkle water on the private parts of his body. The report does not add a long explanation, a full wudu sequence, or a separate ruling. It simply records an observed action. For readers searching for hadith about sprinkling water after urinating, nadh after wudu, or purification after urine in Islam, the key point is that the text connects the Prophet's صلى الله عليه وسلم action with cleanliness after urination. Since the Hadith is brief, the safest explanation is also brief and exact: after urinating, water was sprinkled on the private area.
What we learn from this hadith
- The report describes an action seen from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.
- It connects urination with sprinkling water afterward.
- The text does not add extra details beyond the observed act.
