حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَبُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ وَلاَ يَغْتَسِلْ فِيهِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ " .
AbuHurayrah Narrated from:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: None amongst you should urinate in standing water, then wash in it after sexual defilement.

Summary of Sunan Abi Dawud Hadith 70
This standing water hadith is very close to the previous report, but it adds the wording about bathing from sexual defilement. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said that none of you should urinate in standing water, and should not bathe in it from janabah. The text brings together two acts: spoiling standing water with urine and using it for ghusl. The point is practical and clear. Water used for purification should not be treated carelessly. The hadith does not talk about flowing water or every water case. It speaks about standing water and the actions named in the narration. This keeps the explanation within the exact wording.
