34/105. Chapter:

Trade of alcoholic drinks is illegal

وَقَالَ جَابِرٌ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَرَّمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْعَ الْخَمْرِ.Jabir رضي الله عنه said, "The Prophet ﷺ made the trade of alcoholic drinks illegal."

Sahih BukhariHadith Number 2226

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ آيَاتُ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ عَنْ آخِرِهَا خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ حُرِّمَتِ التِّجَارَةُ فِي الْخَمْرِ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated `Aisha: When the last verses of Surat-al-Baqara were revealed, the Prophet (ﷺ) went out (of his house to the Mosque) and said, "The trade of alcohol has become illegal."
