Summary of Sahih Bukhari Hadith 4467
This hadith states that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم died while his armor was mortgaged to a Jew for thirty Sa’s of barley. The narration is short, but it carries a clear message about real life, need, and lawful dealings. People often search for the hadith about the Prophet’s armor being mortgaged because it shows that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم dealt with a financial pledge for food. The text does not turn this into a broad legal discussion, so the explanation should stay close to the report. It simply tells us that, at the time of his death, the armor was held as a mortgage for barley.
