Sahih Bukhari 6439 — Wealth Never Fills the Mouth
The Fitnah of wealth should be warded off
وَقَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلاَدُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ}.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَوْ أَنَّ لاِبْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَادِيَانِ، وَلَنْ يَمْلأَ فَاهُ إِلاَّ التُّرَابُ، وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ ".
Anas bin Malik Narrated from:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If Adam's son had a valley full of gold, he would like to have two valleys, for nothing fills his mouth except dust. And Allah forgives him who repents to Him."

This hadith about greed for wealth is narrated by Anas bin Malik. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says that if Adam’s son had a valley full of gold, he would want two valleys. Then he says nothing fills his mouth except dust. This short statement teaches that worldly craving can grow even when someone already has plenty. The hadith does not say wealth itself is forbidden.
