Usama bin Zaid Narrated from:
Once the Prophet (ﷺ) stood over one of the high buildings of Medina and then said (to the people), "Do you see what I see?" They said, "No." He said, "I see afflictions falling among your houses as rain drops fall."

Summary of Sahih Bukhari Hadith 7060
This Hadith about fitan falling like rain gives a striking warning. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم stood over a high building in Madinah and asked the people whether they saw what he saw. They said no. He then said he could see afflictions falling among their houses like raindrops fall. The words show that fitan may become widespread and enter homes, not only public places. The Hadith does not list every form of fitnah, so the explanation should not add details that are not in the text. Its message is to stay alert, humble, and spiritually awake. When trials spread widely, a believer should not assume his home is untouched. He should hold to faith, prayer, and careful conduct.
What we learn from this hadith
- The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم warned that afflictions would become widespread.
- The image of raindrops shows how many and close these trials can be.
- The Hadith points to trials reaching homes and families.
- A believer should stay alert and not feel safe from fitan.
