Sahih Bukhari 7279 — Justice by Revelation
Following the Sunna of the Prophet (saws)

Summary of Sahih Bukhari Hadith 7279
This Hadith repeats the same clear statement narrated by Abu Huraira and Zaid bin Khalid. They were with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), and he said to two men, “I shall judge between you according to Allah’s Book.” For someone searching for a hadith about Islamic judgment, the message is direct: justice is not left to changing moods or personal benefit. It must be connected to Allah’s guidance. The Hadith is short, but it gives an important rule for handling disputes. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) placed the Book of Allah at the center of judgment. This keeps decisions tied to truth, not favoritism. The text does not provide the full case here, so the explanation stays focused on the stated principle.
What we learn from this hadith
- Allah's Book is the proper standard for judgment.
- A dispute should be settled by guidance, not personal desire.
- The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) made divine law central in judging.
- Justice needs a clear and trusted source.
