97/21. Chapter:

“Say ‘What thing is the most great in witness?’ Say: ‘Allah…’”

وَسَمَّى اللَّهُ تَعَالَى نَفْسَهُ شَيْئًا. وَسَمَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ شَيْئًا وَهْوَ صِفَةٌ مِنْ صِفَاتِ اللَّهِ. وَقَالَ: {كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلاَّ وَجْهَهُ} .

Sahih BukhariHadith Number 7417

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِرَجُلٍ ‏ "‏ أَمَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَىْءٌ ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالَ نَعَمْ سُورَةُ كَذَا وَسُورَةُ كَذَا‏.‏ لِسُوَرٍ سَمَّاهَا‏.‏

Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d: The Prophet (ﷺ) said to a man, "Have you got anything of the Qur'an?" The man said, "Yes, such-andsuch Sura, and such-and-such Sura," naming the Suras.
