وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { بَعَثَنِي اَلنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -إِلَى اَلْيَمَنِ, وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آخُذَ مِنْ كُلِّ حَالِمٍ دِينَاراً, أَوْ عَدْلَهُ معافرياً } أَخْرَجَهُ اَلثَّلَاثَةِ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ, وَالْحَاكِم ُ .
Mu'adh bin Jabal Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent me to Yemen and he commanded me to take the Jizyah from everyone who has reached the age of puberty-one Dinar- or its equivalent in Ma’afiri (garments of Yemeni origin).’ Related by the three Imams. Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.
