The disdain of wearing silk

Sunan Ibn MajahHadith Number 3589

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنِ الدِّيبَاجِ وَالْحَرِيرِ وَالإِسْتَبْرَقِ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Bara’ bin ‘Azib said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade brocade, silk, and embroidered brocade.”
