It was narrated from Salamah bin ‘Ubaidullah bin Mihsan Al-Ansari that his father said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever among you wakes up physically healthy, feeling safe and secure within himself, with food for the day, it is as if he acquired the whole world.’”

Summary of Sunan Ibn Majah Hadith 4141
This hadith about gratitude gives a simple way to look at life. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) mentions three blessings: physical health, safety, and food for the day. These are not small things. Many people search for more comfort, more wealth, and more status, but this hadith teaches us to notice what we already have. The message is not that a person should stop working or caring for their needs. Rather, it shows that basic blessings are a huge gift from Allah. When a person wakes up healthy, safe, and with enough food for the day, they have been given something very valuable. This is a strong reminder to thank Allah and not look down on daily blessings.
What we learn from this hadith
- Health is a blessing that should not be taken lightly.
- Safety and peace are part of Allah’s gifts.
- Having enough food for the day is a reason to be thankful.
- A grateful heart can see value in simple daily blessings.
