Usamah bin Zaid Narrated from:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said one day to his Companions: ‘Who will strive hard with sincerity for Paradise? For there is nothing like Paradise. By the Lord of the Ka’bah, it is sparkling light, sweet basil waving in the breeze, a lofty palace, a flowing river, abundant ripe fruit, a beautiful wife and many fine garments, in a palace of eternal abode, in ease and luxury, in beautiful, strongly-built, lofty houses.’ They said: ‘We will strive heard for it, O Messenger of Allah.’ He said: ‘Say: In sha’ Allah (if Allah wills).’ Then he mentioned Jihad and encouraged them to engage in it.”

Summary of Sunan Ibn Majah Hadith 4332

This Hadith about striving for Paradise begins with a call: who will strive hard with sincerity for Paradise? The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم then says there is nothing like Paradise. He describes sparkling light, sweet basil, a lofty palace, a flowing river, abundant ripe fruit, a beautiful wife, fine garments, and an eternal home of ease and beauty. The Companions respond that they will strive for it, and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم teaches them to say, “In sha’ Allah.” The text then mentions that he spoke about Jihad and encouraged it. The explanation should stay with these words: Paradise is worth sincere striving, and even firm intention is spoken with dependence on Allah’s will.
