حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ تَوْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُبَشِّرٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ . فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا فَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَصْنَعُ هَذَا فَأَنَا أَصْنَعُ كَمَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ .
Fadl bin Mubashshir Narrated from:
I saw Jabir bin 'Abdullah performing every prayer with one ablution, and I said: 'What is this?' He said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah doing this, and I am doing as the Messenger of Allah did.'

This Hadith about Jabir using one wudu for every prayer shows a companion following what he saw from the Messenger of Allah. Fadl bin Mubashshir said he saw Jabir bin Abdullah praying every prayer with one ablution. When he asked about it, Jabir replied that he had seen the Messenger of Allah doing this, so he was doing as the Messenger of Allah did. The Hadith highlights practice based on seeing the Prophet’s action. It also supports the idea found in nearby narrations: one wudu can be used for more than one prayer while it remains valid.
