Al-Lu'lu Wal-Marjan 1239 — The Book of Al-Imâra (Concerning with ruling etc.)
The superiority of helping a Ghâzi (Muslim fighter) with something to ride upon etc. And looking after his family during his absence.

حديث زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ رضي الله عنها، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، قَالَ: مَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَقَدْ غَزَا، وَمَنْ خَلَفَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ بِخَيْرٍ فَقَدْ غَزَا.
Zaid bin Khalid Narrated from:
Allâh's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم : "He who prepares a Ghâzi going in Allâh's Cause is (given a reward equal to that of) a Ghâzi; and he who looks after properly the dependents of a Ghâzi going in Allâh's Cause is (given a reward equal to that of) a Ghâzi." ( Sahîh Al-Bukhâri, Hadîth No. 96, Vol. 4)
