Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 3822
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَاضْرِبُوا الْهَامَ تُوَرَّثُوا الْجِنَانَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حديثٌ غَرِيب
Abu Hurairah Narrated from:
If you greet all and sundry, provide food, and strike the pates of enemies, you will be made heirs of paradise." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.
