Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 4635
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لَا تبدؤوا الْيَهُودَ وَلَا النَّصَارَى بِالسَّلَامِ وَإِذَا لَقِيتُمْ أَحَدَهُمْ فِي طريقٍ فَاضْطَرُّوهُ إِلَى أضيَقِه»
AbuHurayrah Narrated from:
Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Do not take the initiative in greeting the Jews and Christians. And when you come across any of them on the road compel him to take the narrowest part of it." [2]
