Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 4856
وَعَن وَاثِلَة قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لَا تظهر الشماتة لأخيك فَيَرْحَمَهُ اللَّهُ وَيَبْتَلِيَكَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ
Wathilah Narrated from:
Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Do not display pleasure at your (Muslim) brother's distress (even if the two of you are in disagreement) lest Allah have mercy on him and involve you in the distress." [2]
