Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5078
وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ قَالَ: قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا خَيْرُ مَا أُعْطِيَ الْإِنْسَانُ؟ قَالَ: «الْخُلُقُ الْحَسَنُ» رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَان»
A man of (the tribe) Muzaynah رضي الله عنه narrated that the sahabah (Prophet's Companions) asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the best of that which a human being is given?" He said, "A good character." [3]
