Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5210
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: «اتَّقُوا الْحَرَامَ فِي الْبُنْيَانِ فَإِنَّهُ أَسَاسُ الْخَرَابِ» . رَوَاهُمَا الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَان»
Ibn 'Umar Narrated from:
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Refrain from applying unlawful wealth in building; for that is the root of ruin (or religion or the building itself)" [3] (Or, "Refrain from using unlawful means....) [1]
