وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ ابْنُ نَافِعٍ أَخْبَرَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بِشْرٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، - رضى الله عنهما - يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَوَقَعَ مِنْ نَاقَتِهِ فَأَقْعَصَتْهُ فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يُغْسَلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَأَنْ يُكَفَّنَ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ وَلاَ يُمَسَّ طِيبًا خَارِجٌ رَأْسُهُ . قَالَ شُعْبَةُ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ خَارِجٌ رَأْسُهُ وَوَجْهُهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّدًا .
Ibn 'Abbas Narrated from:
A person came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) while he was in the state of Ihram. He fell down from his camel and broke his neck. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) commanded to bathe him with water (mixed with the leaves of) the lote (tree), and shroud him in two (pieces of) cloth and not to apply perfume (to him), keeping his head out (of the shroud). Shu'ba said: He then narrated to me after this (the words)" keeping his head out," his face out, for he would be raised on the Day of Resurrection pronouncing Talbiya.

Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1206i
This hadith about the deceased Muhrim gives a report from Sa’id b. Jubair, who heard Ibn Abbas. A man came to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم while in Ihram, fell from his camel, and his neck was broken. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم ordered that he be washed with water and lote leaves, shrouded in two pieces of cloth, and not touched with perfume. The wording first mentions keeping his head out, and then the narrator says he later heard it as keeping his head and face out. The reason given is that he would be raised on the Day of Resurrection pronouncing Talbiya. This narration is useful because it records the wording variation clearly.
