وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ رُزَيْقٍ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .

This report states that the same hadith was transmitted through Muhammad b. Amr, Abu Bakr b. Ishaq, Abu’l-Jawwab, A'mash, and Abu Huraira. The translation does not add a new event or extra wording beyond pointing back to the previous report. So the meaning remains tied to waswasah in faith. Some Companions felt inner thoughts they considered too grave to speak about, and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم described that as faith manifest. This does not mean the thought is good. It means their fear of speaking it and their rejection of it mattered. The hadith gives relief to people who are upset by unwanted whispers and want to stay faithful.
