حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِهَارُونَ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَزَالُ النَّاسُ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ حَتَّى يُقَالَ هَذَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ الْخَلْقَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ اللَّهَ فَمَنْ وَجَدَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَلْيَقُلْ آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ " .
Abu Hurairah Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Men will continue to question one another till this is propounded: Allah created all things but who created Allah? He who found himself confronted with such a situation should say: I affirm my faith in Allah.

This who created Allah hadith gives a clear and simple way to handle a disturbing question when it appears in the mind or in discussion. The text says people will keep asking one another until someone says that Allah created all things, then asks who created Allah. The answer given by the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم is not to keep feeding the question. The believer should say, “I affirm my faith in Allah.” So the main lesson is firm faith when doubts in faith arise. The Hadith does not blame a person for being faced with such a thought. It teaches a safe response: return to belief in Allah and do not let the question pull the heart away from faith.
