حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَخْطُبُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ يَسُومُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلاَ تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلاَقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ صَحْفَتَهَا وَلْتَنْكِحْ فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهَا " .
Abu Hurairah Narrated from:
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: A man must not make proposal of marriage to a woman when his brother has done so already. And he must not offer a price for a thing for which his brother had already offered a price; and a woman must not be combined in marriage with her father's sister, nor with her mother's sister, and a woman must not ask to have her sister divorced in order to deprive her of what belongs to her, but she must marry, because she will have what Allah has decreed for her.

Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1408g
This hadith from Abu Huraira brings several social and marriage manners together. A man should not propose marriage to a woman when his brother has already proposed. He should not offer a price over a price already offered by his brother. The narration also repeats that a woman must not be combined in marriage with her father's sister or mother's sister. It then adds that a woman should not ask for her sister to be divorced in order to take what belongs to her, but should marry, because she will have what Allah has decreed for her. The main teaching is fairness, restraint, and respect in marriage and dealings.
