Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1504j
This short Hadith reports one detail: A’isha said that Barira’s husband was a slave. It does not mention the full story of Barira’s purchase, the condition of wala, or the meat given as charity and then gifted. Those details appear in nearby narrations, but this wording itself focuses only on the husband’s status. Because the report is brief, the explanation should stay narrow. It is often searched with terms like Barira husband was a slave and Barira marriage choice hadith because the related narrations mention that Barira was given a choice after emancipation. In this exact text, however, the direct point is only the statement about her husband being a slave.
What we learn from this hadith
- This wording records the status of Barira’s husband.
- The report is brief and should not be treated as a full story by itself.
- Related narrations connect this detail to Barira’s later choice.
