Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1997h
This Sahih Muslim Nabidh vessels hadith is reported from Ibn Umar. It states that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) forbade preparing Nabidh in a green pitcher and in a gourd. The wording is brief, so the explanation should stay brief in meaning as well. It is not a full list of every vessel mentioned in other reports. It names two containers and reports the Prophet’s prohibition about them. This is helpful for people searching hadith about Nabidh in gourd, Nabidh in jar hadith, or Islamic drink vessels hadith. The core lesson is to follow the wording as transmitted and not to stretch it beyond the vessels named here.
What we learn from this hadith
- The narration names the green pitcher and gourd.
- The Prophet’s prohibition is reported in a short form.
- A reader should not add vessel names that are not in this wording.
