Sahih MuslimHadith Number 1997n
Zadhan Narrated from:
I said to Ibn 'Umar: Tell me in your own language and then explain it to me in any language because your language is different from our language (about the vessels) in which Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) has forbidden (us) to drink. He said: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has forbidden (the preparation) of Nabidh in Hantama and that is a pitcher (besmeared with pitch), in gourd and that is pumpkin, in the varnished jar, in hollow stump and in wooden vessels. This Naqir is the wood of date-palm from which the vessel is fashioned out or hollowed out, but he commanded us to prepare Nabidh in waterskins.

Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1997n
This is one of the clearest Sahih Muslim Nabidh vessels hadith reports because it explains several terms inside the narration. Zadhan asks Ibn Umar to speak in his own language and explain the words in a way he can understand. Ibn Umar says the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) forbade Hantam, meaning a pitcher; Dubba, meaning pumpkin or gourd; Muzaffat, meaning the pitch-coated vessel; Naqir, meaning a hollowed date-palm vessel; and wooden vessels. He also says the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) commanded preparing Nabidh in waterskins. This hadith is useful for searches like Nabidh vessel names, Hantam Dubba Muzaffat Naqir, and Nabidh in waterskins hadith. Its teaching is both clear and practical.
