Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1998a
This Sahih Muslim Nabidh vessels hadith is reported on the authority of Jabir and Ibn Umar. It states that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) forbade preparing Nabidh in the hollow stump, the varnished jar, and the gourd. The report is short, but it names the vessels plainly. It is a strong fit for searches such as hollow stump Nabidh hadith, varnished jar Nabidh, and hadith about Nabidh in gourd. The text does not mention other vessels in this wording, so the explanation should stay with these three. The simple lesson is to respect the exact prophetic instruction as reported and to note the containers named by the narrators.
What we learn from this hadith
- The narration comes through Jabir and Ibn Umar.
- Three vessels are named: hollow stump, varnished jar, and gourd.
