Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2088d
This narration is a wording variant of the same warning from Abu Huraira. The phrase highlighted here is that a man was strutting in two mantles. That wording keeps the reader focused on the outward act of proud movement linked with pride in dress. The rest of the hadith is said to be like the earlier narration, so the same core message remains: arrogance in appearance is a serious spiritual danger. People searching for strutting in two mantles hadith, hadith about pride in clothing, or Sahih Muslim 2088d can see that this report supports the same lesson. It is not about banning every nice garment in this wording. It is about the proud attitude shown by the person.
What we learn from this hadith
- The narration highlights strutting as a sign of pride.
- The wording supports the same warning found in the main report.
- Clothing should not be used for arrogant display.
- A small wording difference can sharpen the reader's attention.
