حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلاَّمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْجُمَحِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ - عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " يَدْخُلُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ . قَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ " . ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ . قَالَ " سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ " .
Abu Hurairah Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Seventy thousand (persons) of my Ummah would enter Paradise without rendering an account. Upon this a person said: Messenger of Allah. pray to Allah that He make me one of them. He (the Holy Prophet) said: O Allah! make him one of them. Then another stood up and said: Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah that He make me one of them. He (the Holy Prophet) said: 'Ukkasha has preceded you in this matter.

This hadith about seventy thousand entering Paradise without account brings a hopeful message. Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said seventy thousand persons from his Ummah would enter Paradise without rendering an account. A man then asked the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) to pray that Allah make him one of them. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) made that supplication. When another man asked the same, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “Ukkasha has preceded you in this matter.” The hadith does not list the qualities of these people in this wording.
