Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2311a
This generosity hadith from Jabir b. Abdullah is short and memorable. He said that it never happened that Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked for anything and he said no. The wording points to the Prophet’s open-handed nature and his readiness to give. Since the report is brief, we should not add details about every situation or make claims beyond the sentence. The hadith does not list what was asked, who asked, or how the giving happened. It simply gives Jabir’s strong observation about the Prophet’s response when people asked him. For readers looking for a hadith about generosity, this narration shows a clear pattern of giving and kind response.
