Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2602d
This hadith about curse or scolding becoming reward has the same wording as the previous narration in the input. Jabir b. Abdullah reports that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said he is a human being and that he made a term with his Lord. The term was that any servant among Muslims whom he cursed or scolded would have that made a source of purity and reward. Since the text itself repeats the same meaning, the lesson also remains the same. The hadith points to Allah’s mercy and to the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم care for Muslims. It teaches that the final value of a matter is with Allah, and here the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم specifically asks for purity and reward.
What we learn from this hadith

- The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم asks for purity and reward for Muslim servants in this case.
- The hadith keeps the focus on Allah’s mercy.
