حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الضُّبَعِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَعُلِمَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ قَالَ فَقَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ قِيلَ فَفِيمَ يَعْمَلُ الْعَامِلُونَ قَالَ " كُلٌّ مُيَسَّرٌ لِمَا خُلِقَ لَهُ " .
'Imran bin Husain Narrated from:
It was said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ): Has there been drawn a distinction between the people of Paradise and the denizens of hell? He said: Yes. It was again said: (If it is so), then What is the use of doing good deeds? Thereupon he said: Everyone is facilitated in what has been created for him.

This hadith about the people of Paradise and Hell reports a question asked to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: has a distinction already been made between the people of Paradise and the people of Hell? He answered yes. Then he was asked what use there is in doing good deeds. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied that everyone is facilitated in what they were created for. The hadith gives a short but deep answer to a common concern about qadar. Allah’s knowledge is already complete, but the response is not to stop acting. The answer points people back to deeds. A believer should keep doing good while trusting that Allah’s decree is full of wisdom.

- Allah knows the people of Paradise and the people of Hell.
- The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم did not tell people to abandon deeds.
- Everyone is facilitated for what they were created for.
- Belief in destiny should be joined with continued action.
