Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2716b
This Hadith repeats the supplication reported from A'isha about seeking refuge in Allah. The wording asks protection from the evil of what one has done and the evil of what one has not done. This is a strong protection dua because it does not make a person proud of his own record. It teaches that the servant needs Allah's help in relation to known actions and matters beyond full awareness. The Hadith is also useful because it gives a direct phrase a Muslim can learn. For someone searching for the Prophet's dua for protection from evil deeds, this narration keeps the focus on asking Allah for refuge in a simple and careful way.
