حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلاَلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاذًا، يَقُولُ دَعَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَجَبْتُهُ فَقَالَ " هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا حَقُّ اللَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ " . نَحْوَ حَدِيثِهِمْ .
Mu'adh Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called, me and I replied to him. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Do you know the right of Allah upon the people? and then followed the hadith (mentioned above).

Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 30d
This shorter report keeps the focus on the same hadith about the right of Allah upon people. Aswad b. Hilal heard Mu'adh say that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) called him, and Mu'adh answered him. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) then asked whether he knew the right of Allah upon the people. The narration says the rest followed the earlier hadith, so its core topic is still Tawheed: worshipping Allah and not associating anything with Him. Even though the wording here is brief, the teaching remains clear. It points to the servant’s duty before Allah and reminds the reader that true faith begins with Allah’s exclusive right to worship.
