حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لأَخِيهِ - أَوْ قَالَ لِجَارِهِ - مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ " .
Anas bin Malik Narrated from:
The Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed: "None amongst you believes (truly) until he loves for his brother" - or he said "for his neighbour" - "that which he loves for himself."

Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 45a
This Hadith is widely searched as love for your brother what you love for yourself. The Prophet said that none among you believes truly until he loves for his brother, or in the wording, for his neighbour, what he loves for himself. The teaching is very practical. A person naturally wants safety, respect, fairness, and good treatment for himself. The Hadith asks him to carry that same care toward another person. It does not make the lesson complicated. It places faith beside daily social behavior. A believer should not be selfish in his wishes. He should want good for his brother or neighbour in the same way he wants good for himself.
