Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 907b
This narration is a supporting report through the same chain from Zaid b. Aslam. It carries the same meaning as the previous Ibn 'Abbas report, with one wording difference: the narrator says that the people saw the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) keeping aloof or moving back. In the earlier report, this was connected to what he saw during the prayer. The main subject remains the eclipse prayer, the long standing and bowing, the reminder that the sun and moon are signs of Allah, and the call to remember Allah when an eclipse occurs. Because this hadith mainly notes a wording difference, the explanation should stay close to that point and not add details beyond the linked report.
What we learn from this hadith
- This narration supports the previous eclipse prayer report.
- It notes a wording difference about the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) moving back.
- The wider meaning remains tied to eclipse prayer and remembrance of Allah.
