Question 4

Accepted Answer

Ishraq is prayed immediately after sunrise (15-20 minutes after), while Duha covers the entire mid-morning window from 09:08 AM to 11:30 AM in Aqchah. Many scholars consider Ishraq to be the earliest portion of the Duha time. The key difference is that Ishraq specifically involves sitting after Fajr until sunrise with Dhikr, then praying. Duha can be prayed at any point during the forenoon without this condition.

Question 5

What is the reward of praying Salatul Duha?

Question 6

Is Salatul Duha the same as Chasht prayer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Salatul Duha is commonly known as Chasht prayer (চাশতের নামাজ) in South Asian communities. Both refer to the same voluntary mid-morning prayer. In Aqchah, Chasht or Duha time begins at 09:08 AM and ends at 11:30 AM. Some scholars distinguish Ishraq (early Duha, 2 rakats) from Chasht (later Duha, 4+ rakats), but both fall within the same permissible time window.

Can I pray Duha every day?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Salatul Duha is a highly recommended daily Sunnah. The Prophet (ﷺ) advised Abu Hurairah (RA) to never leave 3 things — one of which was 2 rakats of Duha (Sahih Muslim). Abu Dharr (RA) also received similar advice. In Aqchah, make it a daily habit to pray at least 2 rakats between 09:08 AM and 11:30 AM to earn consistent rewards throughout the year.
